Will you be implementing a .SAT export for MOI.

Want to import into Revit retaining nurbs.

Hi John it won't be implemented for the v1 version, but I do want to add it in for the v2 version.

For now probably Rhino would work as a translator to get your MoI designs into .SAT format.

It would be nice to have an import as well. Rhino can read neither ACIS nor PARASOLID and I have never read anything indicating what the problem is... maybe an issue of licensing(?)

Hi Petr, I think that may be possible as well. Basically I'll be able to do whatever the harmonyware translators provide (http://www.harmonyware.com). Due to limited initial funds, for v1 I only got the IGES translator. Once things are rolling it should not be difficult for to add the additional translators for v2.

I think that there is both read and write functionality in there.

Yeah, probably - the "official" toolkit for either of those is pretty expensive I think, and it is a pretty huge job to write custom code to read stuff. Custom code to implement reading is like 10 times more difficult to do than custom code for exporting.
