And here is one more to add to your testing:

a zip file named "Mala's Archive created for testing1"

In this zip file is a folder named 1

In the "folder named 1" is a text file named "1.txt"

Practice to get a folder named 1, with a single text file inside of it.

Hi Mala,

The message is here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=12126.24

What I wrote was:
quote:
Make a folder named customui at the same level as commands/plugins/startup/themes and put the attached files into it.

Hello,
I have now remapped and set up the structure as last specified - thank you Michael/All.
What is missing now is the other GUI with the ribbon at the bottom. This is presumably because I deleted the CustomUI.2.0.beta2 script?!

Hi Mala,

The other GUI is created by files in the startup folder.

If those are missing it means you accidentally deleted the startup folder, is it empty now?

To set it up again you need to copy the files from the startup folder inside CustomUI.2.0.beta2.zip into %AppData%\Moi\startup .

Maybe it would be better for you to contact me through e-mail to help you get set up instead of here on the forum. It will probably be easier if we do things just one small step at a time.

My e-mail is: moi@moi3d.com

Wow—that actually worked. Thanks a lot!!! What a ride! I need to let it all sink in now and see where I might have missed something in the installation instructions. I’m sorry for having put your patience to such an extreme test. I hope I won’t be draining your energy again for a good few years ;-)—this whole thing was a massive undertaking... Best, cheers, Mala

In one of your previous messages you showed what your startup folder had in it which was correct:
