Hi Boolean,
I took a look at your file. I’d like to offer a few suggestions to help you complete your project, which appears to be a hard-shell guitar case. I hope I don’t offend you and that you won’t take my comments and advice the wrong way.
I was surprised by the position of your shape, so I repositioned it in a way that seems more appropriate for completing your project.
Your shape consists of 17 curves. In one spot, at the top of the shape, there’s a small curve that will cause problems during extrusion. The shape can be made up of a single closed curve.
I noticed that your object isn’t symmetrical. It seems to me that it should be, at least at the beginning of your project. I created two axes of symmetry (right and left).
So I converted your shape into a single closed curve, removed the corner points, and reduced the number of control points. This allows for proper extrusion, streamlines the shape, and simplifies the rest of your work.
It would be helpful for you to go back to your original file and implement the suggestions I’ve made. If you get stuck at any point, there will always be people willing to offer solutions.
Best regards
