Introduction to MoI3D

Hi everyone,

When version 5 of MoI3D becomes available, it would be nice and helpful to have an easy-to-use document titled “Introduction to MoI.” It would be aimed primarily at people new to MoI3D, but it could be useful to all users, regardless of their skill level.
This PDF document would cover:
- View manipulation;
- How commands work;
- Drawing/selecting points.
- Selection;
- Basic modeling concepts.
- Exporting to other applications.
- Frequently asked questions.
- Command references
- etc.

I created this document for my personal use when I first started using MoI3D.
I’ve included blue links that allow you to jump directly to the desired section by clicking on them.
I’m leaving it as is for now while waiting for V5, so it’s not yet complete and could be improved. I also use my own terms to name the tools, drawing inspiration from those used in AutoCAD and Revit, which I’ve used for a long time and taught to future architectural drafting professionals.
I’ve linked the PDF document below (it’s in French and converted to PDF!) that I created with LibreOffice in .odt format. I can also send it in .docx format if anyone would like that.

Note: French version on the French forum.

I managed to translate it into English, but the formatting isn't great, and I can't seem to upload it to the forum:
500 - Internal Server Error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
The file is 8.268 MB!???

Well, after quite a bit of fiddling around—saving it as a .docx file in LibreOffice, translating it with DeepL (sorry for the plug!), reopening it in LibreOffice, dealing with several crashes, and finally successfully exporting it as a PDF—here it is on the forum. The formatting might not be perfect.

I can also send it in .docx format if anyone would like that. It is what it is, sorry
