Hi Ray, the regular Extend command can extend a 3D curve. You would need to create a plane like this as the boundary object:



However, it kind of looks like you want the curve extended and also the result curve should stay on the surface of the cylinder, is that correct?

That last part about staying on the surface of the cylinder won't happen with just the extend command by itself.

I'd recommend to flatten the red curve so it is planar, extend the 2D curve and then project it onto the cylinder:
