Thank you Michael !
Great additions !

In the "remove fillets" video, you seem to remove the fillets by selecting adjacent faces.
When trying it, it works when I select only the fillets to be removed. This is OK ?

Edit
Oups, I carefully watched the video again and you then inversed the selection to get the fillets selected before deleting them.

Also, it is interesting to note that moving a face(s) over holes will "erase" them.
When extending the face again, we have a clean surface.
It can be a fast way to delete many holes at once.

Edit 2025-09-22
Moving holes works with solids.
Could it eventually also move holes on a plane or is it restricted to 3D solids by the ACIS library ?
As a workaround, I extrude the pierced plane, transform it then delete the volume faces to keep only the top one. Not very time consuming in fact.

Hi Mip,

re:
> In the "remove fillets" video, you seem to remove the fillets by selecting adjacent faces.

I used a "Invert selection" shortcut key to switch selection onto the fillets after selecting the larger faces.

Sometimes it is easier to select the pieces you want to keep and then invert.

If you want to set up a keyboard shortcut for invert selection, put this on a shortcut key:

script: moi.geometryDatabase.invertSelection();

(EDIT: looks like you figured that out already)

Yes, it will be interesting to see how it behaves when pieces bunch up.

Another thing that I want to set up for a circular hole to be able to change its radius.

Hi Matadem,

re:
> Question will be scaling of the holes be possible?

Yes I think I will be able to do that. Probably if cylindrical faces or circular edges are selected then
the current radius or diameter will be shown here and then click on that to change it:

There is actually a display and edit menu there since version 2 I think but it scales the entire object instead of modifying just the hole.

Hi Pilou,

re:

It looks like there's a bug with Rotate copy, it was intended to retain the previous version behavior there. I'll see about fixing that.

I wanted to test moving holes on curved surfaces. It seems to work when cutting the hole in formed solids.

If I create a curved surface, "trim the hole" then shell for thickness, the Move produces an artifact in the hole (For me. Lets see if its reproducible)....

Here is a file

Hi Burr, thanks for the test file. I've had a few cases sent in where closed surfaces in particular are getting mangled similar to what you have here. That is next up for me to work on tuning up.

If you cut the hole after shelling instead of before it, that seems to work better right now (see attached file).

Yes Michael, so far for me it surfaced only when “creating the solid” AFTER the hole trim in the surface…

Noted

One possible thing i noticed but it could be erroneous was picking a point “in the bottom of the hole” to do the move

So normally picking a point at the top surface, but if the point was picked down through the hole at the bottom edge of it… just something to look for. It may not be anything.

Thanks again.

The corrected file and creation process has the "Move" actually perform faster and smoother also... not just "mangled surface"

Just a note from a fading laptop...

Question regarding the fillet options. The ACIS fillet loses the ability to use the G2 and G3 options. Do you plan on keeping the Solids++ or can ACIS produce these options in the future?

Thanks.
