Scan your gasket. Then you can bring the image into MoI and have a good ref for 50mm….

I also have these. They measure pixels, but you can measure known values then translate the values to calibrate your current display zoom…

I found Its kinof an odd attempt though. I think accepting that your screen is a digital representation and you can just trust MoI to give you accurate output is best

I ended up getting a Mitutoyo and other methods for real world measurements and just entering values. I was overthinking it….

I know it is odd.
but my scanner is far away from my cnc computer.
So I just put the gasket on the screen for some odd shapes and get it done.

But I do have multiple ways of doing things....I do have a cnc probe..but sometimes it just takes too long..
I will be getting an old scanner in shop for these things,

Also installing a camera above my machines so it can auto trace with close enough measurements.

Ill just use what is faster.
