Thank you so very much.

On the particular case above release place for input value with mouse
else in general case avoid to cross the screen for in input value when you have a big monitor!
Just put your "numeric keyboard" near your object on the screen...input values! :)

It's not vital just extreme confort! :)

Hi Pilou,

re:

It pops up when you click in a numeric entry field. If it were to show up some
long distance away from the field you just clicked on that would be much more
mouse travel than it is currently.

Also there's an overall focus in the UI design to not have too many things floating
over top of the viewport since that kind of "clutter" can get in the way of seeing
the actual objects.

Hi Pilou, here's an example - when you're in the Arc center command, there is a
field you can use to set the length of the arc instead of the angle:

When you click on that field, the numpad panel will pop up right next to the
control you just clicked:

Why would you want to have the numpad pop up far away from
the control you just clicked?

Hi Pilou, if the "Floating edit size" dialog you show would be shown by clicking on the size line like it currently is, that would mean you would have to move your mouse all the way over to the right hand side of your screen to make it show, then all the way back across the screen again.

Or do you mean the dialog would always be showing? It's not practical for every type of pop up menu to be all be shown at the same time, the window would be covered in floating UI pieces.

Will be not seen all the time...Closed when you press Done or OK ! :)

In fact there are 2 things

: the numeric kay pad hide the numeric values (that you resolve by killing the keybaord from i have seen in loading your modified EditSizeMenu! :)

: floating windows of any thing... who is not of course the general case actually!

Else more like this... :) in fact must 2 windows the General Edit window itelf and the Numeric Cases + Key board! :)

Here only the Keyboard

A short cut under the mouse near the object...

Ps But in the case of this Image... http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=11705.15

I can also move all the volume screen near the actual right desk ! ;)
Click MouseWheel + Move... maybe avoid all the Floating windows! ;)
rest only the numeric key board problem if we want keep it and visible x,y,z! :)

Hi Pilou,

re:
> A short cut under the mouse near the object...

Sorry, no that's not good.

Like I mentioned previously it's a general goal for the MOI UI to avoid putting UI elements directly floating over the viewport since they add clutter.

It would be easy for it to accidentally get triggered when you trying to do something else like select an edge or a face.

Sorry I don't understand this part.

You mean the one you showed here?

That seems like it would be pretty strange.

Hi Pilou, I don't think it's needed.

When you open up the Edit size menu the numpad will not be showing yet so you can see all values right then.

It's only when you click on a field that it will pop up, and if you decide you want to see the other values after that just close the popup.

You can close it pushing the Esc key, clicking the red X close button, or clicking anywhere outside of it.
