File attachments on messages in the discussion forum is limited to 50MB per user, to avoid having the web server's storage getting completely filled.

Yes like Chri shows above click "Options" on the top bar, then on the forum options page there is an "Attachments" link on the left.

That will take you to a page showing all your file attachments previously uploaded and you can select some or all of them there and delete them.

Or instead of uploading an attachment you could use a file sharing service like One Drive, Dropbox, etc... and upload your file to the service and post a link to it here.
