Hi Matadem,

re:

The shortcuts are stored in the moi.ini file, which is a text file so you can open it with a text editor and use the text editor's search function to do this.

You can open moi.ini by going to Options > General > "Edit .ini file" button , at bottom:

Hi. A long time ago I wrote a script for myself for this purpose.

You need to put ScriptPalette.htm in the folder "MoI 5.0 beta Dec-1-2023\ui".

And start the script in: script:moi.ui.createDialog( 'moi://ui/ScriptPalette.htm', 'resizeable' );

Example of work is shown in the attached video

Dear Micheal Gibson,

To emphasize, the UI interface in the 3D MOI v5 should be able to provide the user with the full functionality of this interface when the designer needs to use a script command to obtain the desired results.

When shortcut keys need to be programmed to remember when you need them, it is very frustrating.

Will the next update of 3D moi do something more reliable and not frustrate users with script commands they have to remember?

As I mentioned, I already have so many users using this system, and I hope that you will include it in the next update of 3D moi v5.

Thank you for your time and support.

Hi Ray,

re:

You could solve this frustration by doing something as simple as recording what shortcut keys you have added in a text file and looking at it when you encounter this.

Another solution is you could install the CustomUI mod, which you can download from here:
https://moi3d.com/download/scripts/max/CustomUI.2.0.beta2.zip

Install instructions here:
https://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=6507.268

That will add a "Scripts" button in the UI on the bottom toolbar that will show a menu with all added scripts on it. So you can then trigger a script by using the menu list instead of by shortcut key.

Sorry no it's not a priority since there are already existing solutions.

Let me know if you have any difficulty installing the scripts button. It's just a matter of copying files into the startup folder but I can walk you through it. Just let me know what operating system you are using.

Ray,

There is also this script manager add-on that doesn't require the whole Custom-UI: https://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=10353.1
