Hi Sven, I don't think there are any step-by-step tutorials out there for the node editor.
But you should be able to find related stuff for the Grasshopper node system used in Rhino.
Try doing a web search for Grasshopper Rhino or similar.
One of the most common types of use is for generating complex repeating patterns.
