Hi Matadam, yes you can do that in MoI by putting the units label at the end of your entry.

So for example you can put in 500in into a field while your main units are centimeters.

The units labels are: mm, cm, m, km, in, ft, mi .

Wow! That's a good thing to know! I usually work in mm; but, a friend is using MOI to design pinball machines that will be cut with a CNC router and I sometimes have to create some things in inches. This is really going to be helpful!
