I realized after the fact that my piece was not correct. The ramp starts tangent to the circle at the bottom.

Just 2 curves + sweep or NetWork and then plane top and bottom don't make the trick?
i don't yet yet try...

Hi Zooen,
I've found this method using solids rather than surfaces gives a better result.
The slope runs out before getting to base.
Anyway glad you have got a result with the surfaces method.
Cheers
Barry

Hi Barry,

The slope peters out before reaching the base.

Yes that's right, good job!

Hi Zooen
Try this node file. It makes the spiral shape you are looking for.
To make this work I had to modify the "sweep" node, So it can accept the "flat" option.("Sweep.js" is attached.)
Replace the "sweep" node inside "Construct.js" with attached .js file

You need to do the lofting and trimming manually. :)

Hi Mo,
can't get your node to work.
All nodes look ok.

Hi Barry-H,

Your picture looks the same as the result from my computer

I did add the new Sweep.js to the node extensions folder.
Is there some other Sweep,js that needs to be deleted?

Hi Barry
>> can't get your node to work.

Sorry, I should've mentioned that it's not a complete node. It only makes the spiral shape and the base.
I couldn't find an easy way to automate the loft and trim process, So, Left it incomplete like you see.
Although, It is possible to do the rest manually.

After applying the node, you can join all pieces and loft the step area.
For me, the tricky part was to make a tangent line on top of the spiral.
This is how I'm doing it:
Make a construction line on the top of the spiral in the right viewport, (tan-int) Then draw a line on it.

In the top viewport, make a copy of this line and use the "loft" command to make a cutting surface.
Then, trim the spiral shape and cutting surface.

If you have the same result with Barry's, you've replaced it correctly.
"Sweep" node is inside the "Construct.js" file. (Line 28)

Salut,

So, with a little perseverance, I've arrived at a result that suits me as far as the shape of a chocolate candy mold is concerned (even if the dimensions aren't exact - I couldn't find anything on the web!).
My problem with the proposed solutions was the connection between the rising curve and the upper part. But Barry's and RebuildSurface's suggestions were a great help.
