Hi KanakaRed, yes there is a setting in moi.ini that you can change to disable this.

From inside MoI, go to Options > General > "Edit .ini file" button and then inside of moi.ini under the [Selection] section, find this line:

[Selection]
<...>
DisableObjectDrag=n

And then change the y to n like this:
DisableObjectDrag=y

The only bummer about this though is that it does disable the other functionalities of the edit frame. The scale and rotate options are still useful with the edit frame, disabling the object drag in in the ini file makes the edit frame pretty much useless.
