Oh for the thumbnails, are you running the installer on the same machine where you are trying to view the thumbnails?

Because the thumbnail shell extension gets registered with the installer now, it won't be set up if you run the installer on some other machine and then just copy the files.

You can manually register the shell extension by opening up a command prompt with "Run as Administrator", then cd to the directory where you have MoI and run:
regsvr32 moi_lib.dll

A dialog should pop up "DllRegisterServer in moi_lib.dll succeeded." and then the thumbnail extractor shell extension will be registered with the shell to use for getting thumbnails out of .3dm files.

That's the previous beta version (May-22-2022):

The new one is MoI 5.0 beta Mar-28-2023 .

Hi Michael.

The 'join' command does not merge into one contour.

Your curve was all wonky, ends didn't connect and weren't in the same plane.

Flatten everything by scaling
then select all ,
hit join, then show points and connect the 2 ends not overlapping,
select all,
join,

done

Pretty cool look - kind of hand drawn style but not quite exactly.

Thanks for sharing it! - Michael

Hi Death.

Thank you, I didn't even have any doubts that I was drawing in a different plane, apparently pushing out at the previous step somehow affected this, so I'll have to keep this in mind all the time.

your model is in cm!
And you want 0.15mm ?

And you have very curious tiny vertical faces...

That blocks on the right on the tiny faces! Not on the left...
I take only the front edge "curvated" not the tiny faces edges...

Hello, I am excited about the new beta!
I am glad to see that you have added a new beta feature for managing Objects.

Now, I am building a new PC. I am planning to use the new beta on my new PC. I find this version very attractive and look forward to using it.

Thank you for your commitment to continual software improvement.

Hi Finema,

re:

The maximum it will go is 0.04 units. To go larger the profile curves will need to be cleaned up some more to remove those tiny line segments that Pilou shows above.

I've attached a version that has those removed, it can now be filleted at your target 0.15 radius.

- Michael
