Hey Gunter,
Steve Jobs was obsessed with G2 surfacing.

A method to make those pods is to use blend. Here is a video of doing it.



Just make your outer profile and extrude a surface

Then part it and use blend. Just after the blend, you can delete the extruded surface and just mirror the blend half result to get a very smooth pill to work on.

So like what Barry shows above, just stop at the extrude and blend that top part. (The surface needs to be open) Then just use only the blend result for 2 halves.

seem to get how to rail revolve it the way you did.

- pick the curve
- then the rail
- two end points of the curve as the axis

Hi Gunter, yes in a little more detail it goes like this:

Step 1 - select the "C" shaped profile curve.

Step 2 - run the Construct > Revolve > Rail revolve command (2nd icon under Revolve).

Step 3 - The prompt will say "Select rail curve". click on the closed oblong rail curve.

Step 4 - The prompt will say 'Pick revolve axis start point". Pick one end of the "C" profile curve.

Step 5 - The prompt will say "Pick revolve axis end point", Pick other end of the "C" profile curve.

In general make sure to look over at the prompt in the upper right area of the window, it will tell you what the command is expecting you to do next.
