Kill the little segment
Show Points of the 2 segments
Select the 2 curves
Press Tab Write merge ?
or Maybe extend ?

but without the file it's some difficult to say exactly :)

Hi Zooen, can you please post the .3dm model file with the object in it that you show in the screenshots?

It will be a lot easier to understand the problem and to offer potential solutions if I can examine the actual model.
