Here's the installer for the Neutral Grey UI.
Just follow the instructions, it does all the install, deletes, mods automatically.
Just sit back and watch it do its job. Afterwards you'll have the new UI.
THIS IS FOR INSTALLING ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER, I AM RUNNING WIN10...
It assumes that you have a default installation on the C: drive.
This UI works both in version3 and version 4 of Moi.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS ON YOUR WINDOWS
INSTALLATION. IF NOT, SIGN IN AS A USER WHO DOES.
NOW TO INSTALLING:
------------------------------
Unrar the Death UI.rar in a directory on your computer.
I suggest making a "UI" directory.
Copy the archive into that.
Now right click the archive and select "Extract here".
Start the "Death UI32.exe" (if you are not an administrator, the right-click and select "run as administrator")
Select your Moi version from the drop down (default is 4.0), then click Start.
The Installer will tell you what is gong on while it is working, when done, you have
custom Neutral Gray Dark UI, a lot command files in the commands section, plus more
command files in the Extras section and a Greeble, Kitbash, Objects and RPG library,
permanently open command panels in Moi (no more tab clicking before you get to an
operation) and a reverse button for flipping views to their opposite in every view window
but the 3D view.
(If anything went wrong, you have the "Moi Backup-YOURUSERNAME" directory in the
C:\Users\"YOUR user name"\AppData\Roaming\ directory.
Just delete the Moi directory, rename your backup to Moi, good as new.)
Enjoy!
You can now delete the "UI" temp directory (or whatever name you gave it) you created to
extract the archive into, it serves no purpose anymore and only takes up space.
MANY THANKS TO ALL THE GREAT MOI'ERS WHO HAVE WRITTEN
THE COMMANDS, UI ADDS AND TO MICHAEL FOR PUTTING ME ON THE RIGHT
TRACK SO MANY TIMES.
PS: To change the look of the 3D objects in Moi, just click the Extras button on the
bottom toolbar and the last entries there starting with a "-" are all the different display
types you can select. There are 14 of them and the default style. One click will do.
Select "-LightDEFAULT" there to reset to Moi's original display style...

them. You can see the current state right above the BROWSER button (bottom right of

Shift+V: Save snapshot of current 3D view
Alt+V: Clear ALL the saved views
(Extremely useful! Press shift V to save the 3D view, go to other side of model, save
that view, now you have 2 work views to toggle between every time you hit V.
You are not limited to 2 views either. Save 1, save 10 or whatever.)

OBJECT LIBRARIES:
================
To Implement your own Object Libraries , renaming or creating them you need to
change the:
ObjLibrary.cfg.htm
It is found in the "customui" folder here:
"C:\users\YOUR WINDOWS USERNAMEHERE\AppData\roaming\Moi\
customui\ObjLibrary.cfg.htm".
(Make sure you use a Text Editor to change the file, DO NOT use a word processor, it
has to be strictly an ASCII text file.)
Each line in the ObjLibrary.cfg.htm stands for a library category, Moi directory path and
source directory. The
1. Entry: This is the Name you want to show for the category when clicking on the
Object Library button in the bottom-middle menu of the Moi screen.
2. Entry: This has to be MOI, or a relative path, it tells Moi where the directory is
located.
3. Entry: This is the actual directory name in: "C:\users\YOUR WINDOWS
USERNAME\AppData\roaming\Moi" where the objects are found.
In the current configuration it looks like this:
Object Library;MOI\objects
Greebles;MOI\greebles
KitBash;MOI\KitBash
RPG;MOI\RPG
ADDING A CATEGORY:
-------------------------------
If you want to add your own Library category, just add another line this file
(ObjLibrary.cfg.htm).
Give it a category name followed by a semicolon then MOI, or relative path, a "\" and
the new category directory name
Example:
My New Category;MOI\whateverdirectoryname.
In Moi, you can then add new models into the Object library by going to the category
name, clicking the small plus sign next to its name and the current 3D file in Moi will be
added to it, including a thumbnail.
RENAMING OR DELETING:
-------------------------------------
You can also rename, or delete Library categories by changing the entries in the
configuration file. If you do, make sure you also rename/delete the corresponding
directories in the moi directory accordingly ("C:\users\YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME
\AppData\roaming\Moi")
=============================================================
COMMANDS AND EXTRAS:
===================
COMMANDS (named Scripts) and Extras on the buttons in the Moi App's bottom toolbar
can be found in:
(C:\users\YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME\AppData\roaming\Moi\commands
and
C:\users\YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME\AppData\roaming\Moi\extras
directories.
Here you can add new script files and delete current ones. Some commands are only
a single java script file (".js" ending), others also have a corresponding ".htm" file.
Check when deleting that if there is a corresponding .htm file to also delete that.
When adding commands, just drop your command files either into the scrips, or extras
directory and the next time you start Moi, the will automatically show up when clicking
the Scripts or Extras button.
I use the Scripts directory for all the scripts I use frequently and everything else I don't
use so much, but want/need, goes into the Extras directory.
If you want to know what some commands do, search for them in the Moi Forum, you will find them and their descriptions there.
Other items
=========
Other things can be changed in the files in the customui folder and looks in general, like app background etc., are handled in the "Moi.css" file in the main Moi program directory "C:\Program Files\Moi 4.0", or the corresponding version 3 directory there.
