Hi WN, yes that's correct it works on named objects and your file has no named objects in it.

It's just a pity that the search [in this case - SM] does not highlight assets that are locked.

That's intentional because the effect of locking is that a locked object cannot be selected.

I've attached a script here that you can use for this purpose though, use by typing in:
ul name

So like in your case there you'd type in:
ul DoorBox*

That should then match locked objects as well which will get unlocked and selected.
