For the corner points, Ok I understand this is the two-step solution.
For the extension of an arc-shaped curve I used an exact arch as you suggest; indeed it is a possible solution.

It is while making this coffee maker that I was confronted with the small problems exposed above (among others).
This is a tutorial for another software !!! But I find it interesting to compare the techniques and the tools and to find solutions with the tools at our disposal.
Finally I got out (not too bad, well in my opinion ...).
