and that will definitely upgrade me to from V2 to V4? although it indicates

Correct, if you already own a MoI v2 license, you can click the link that says "Moment of Inspiration v4, upgrade version (requires v3 license) ($100 USD)" and order the discounted upgrade version instead of the full version.

You will then receive a v4 upgrade license.

When you install the v4 upgrade license, in order to run it will need both the new v4 upgrade license and also a previous version license as well.

It will find the previous version license automatically if it has been previously installed on the same computer, otherwise on a brand new computer where an older version of MoI has never been installed on you will need to enter in both the v4 upgrade license and also your v2 license as well.

You won't need to install v2 you'll just need to put in the v2 license key as well as the v4 license key.

Correct, you will receive a v4 upgrade license.

The upgrade license will require a second license key from a previous version in order for it to run.

The previous version license can be from any previous version, your v2 license will work.

I assume once the trial expires, MoI will ask me for a new licence key

No, the trial version and the full version are separate. When you receive your new version license key in e-mail along with it will be a download link for the full version. You'll need to download the full version and uninstall the trial.

When you run the full version the first time it will ask you for your v4 license key.
