Maybe you should draw a circle so that the polygon is inscribed within it, then also select the circle to view the width and height, that seems to be what you're expecting:

Ok, it seems that I understand.
But please think about my suggestion add the measure to the mouse pointer when drawing an object.
I will checkout all your mails, attachements, links and videos.
MoI is really very easy and the only problem I´ve got is about the measurement or sizing.
And at least, I don´t wanna annoy you. I´m really happy about your support!!
I have added a screenshot. But also with this I´m confused about the size, sorry.
From corner to corner my hexagon has a size off 52,2mm, the inset 33,6mm and the foot 31,45mm.

Regards
Kai

Hi Kai,
hast du dir mal die Tutorials hier angesehen?

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWewaLaCVOnnDwoCxRTRxrC5-DFQd-YG9

Gruesse,
Marco

You can see dimensions when you draw something after your first click!
Take a look at the bottom middle left Page!
There are Distance, Angle, X,Y,Z

Kai, what language do you use in your program?
Do you have any problems using measurement tools?
I do not understand what the sizes 33,6 and 31,45 correspond to in the screenshot, if it is difficult for you to explain, attach your model file to your message.
If you left-click on some tool icon and then press F1, the program will show help for this tool.

Hi Michael,
to get to a distance constraint in the polygon tool, i have to actually click the field i want?

I cant tab to it.

Is this the way it's always been? I cant get into the coordinate or other fields without clicking..

Hi Burr, yes that's correct it's always been that way. It's a kind of special case because the polygon command has an input field for number of sides and that's where keyboard focus will go if you start typing.

It's on my list to investigate some kind of Tab key combination that will put keyboard focus into the XYZ control always maybe something like Shift+Tab, or Ctrl+Tab. Or maybe the polygon command should have a radius value field so you don't need to use distance constraint.

Just checking. I can click the distance field. I would use it when in the point to point of the polygon edge function, as opposed to center out...

I just thought it was different, but realize it's not...

Thanks
