I think I'm understanding that the design intent is for there to be even distance between the angled cuts and then that cone-ish shape is filled in between those.

This is the new confusion base I begin from. I know this looks not very good...

The goal is the right object.
Left is the construction, then on the right side it is bended. (normally it is perfect in geometry)
The only thing is that the direction of the lower thinner part should be mirrored to the other side. That is what I asked some questions ago. This is the reason why the new drawing goes to the other side then before.

In order to test it I have to expand it. Is it possible without a seam?

My expanding result. Made with extrusion tool. I hoped to pick the points in order to move the border line. No points to pick...I do not understand such things. Sometimes you may see the points of surfaces or objects, sometimes not...

Press TAB and write Flip
Will be visible only on Functions who have not automatic linkage!
Yes in Line Web, Not in Loft (curve will be inversed but not the result of the Loft!

Here the LineWeb...Top LIne is "Fliped" before call the LineWeb (on right side)

Hi Pilou...not sure what you want so express. Mirroring doesn´t solve the direction problem of the geometry. I tried every mirror variations thats possible. But thank you...

Still no filleting possible. Do not no where the problem is. But the geometry is correct now.

Hi Mala,

re:

No if it makes you feel better I had to try a couple of different methods to get the best accuracy result that the filleter liked. I'll show you the steps shortly.

You can just reconstruct it, it only takes a short time with the optimized steps.

Hi Mala,

re:

> see the points of surfaces or objects, sometimes not...

You can always see surface control points for an individual surface not joined to any other surface. You can use Edit > Separate to break joined surfaces apart into individual ones.

For an object made up of several surfaces joined together, you can only turn on control points for those if all the joined edges are natural edges of the "underlying surface" and they have the same control points at that natural edge. If the control points for the "underlying surfaces" are different then control points will not turn on because it is too easy for the surfaces to be pulled apart so they are not intersecting anymore at what is supposed to be a joined common edge.

There is some more description of this and some example images at:
