Hello,
little return to the problem encountered
the surface and the latest version of windows 10 (version 20H2) 64 bits, up to date video card, directx12 (direct3D 12)
intel i5 4300u (4 cpu 1.9 ~ 2.5 Ghz)
8 GB of ram
I measured the software startup time
with V3, instantaneous
with V4, 14 seconds
V3, creation of a rectangle 100x65x50 and extrusion then fillet of 2mm, instantaneous
V4, creation of a rectangle 100x65x50 and extrusion then fillet of 2mm, perspective latency (6-8 seconds)
I noticed when unchecking "snap grid and snap object" the V4 reacted better to the display speed
the changes in moi.ini not (a priori) given improvement.
well nothing serious either just to tell you that I was surprised by the speed of action with the V3 and greatly appreciated working with it compared to software that I could try like ViaCAD 3D pro (good but more " autocad "), PTC element (I really didn't like it), alibre atom 3D (not at all intuitive for my taste)
all that to say that you have made an excellent simple, intuitive and powerful software which corresponds to my way of "drawn"
Regards,
Fabrice

Hi Fabrice, and what versions of V3 and V4 are you running for the comparison?

I mean is it the full retail versions or the 30-day trial versions?

for now these are the trial version,
I downloaded the V4 last week and the V3 over a month ago, I continued with the version without "recording" in fact I'm looking for a 3D creation software that corresponds to my way of "drawing" I got used to coreldraw and illustrator software (before they became subscription versions) I tried a lot of software (alibre, PTC, FormZ, sketchup, Rhino (very good but too expensive) 360 fusion (j 'do not like the subscription system which is still expensive) but without really found "shoe to my feet" suddenly I bought viacad 3D pro compared to its price but I can not do very well what I want and then I "fell" on Moi3D ... great software, I also learned that you did by creating rhino exellent software with an interface in the spirit of Illustrator
that we find in Me, moreover I saw that we little personalized the interface and add missing functions (but I will have to learn programming ...)

Hi Fabrice, so the trial version is wrapped with this mechanism called WinLicense which makes it more difficult to be modified to have the time limit removed.

It could be possible that is the source of the performance difference. The V3 30-day trial also has it but it's an older version and maybe I need some adjustments to the newer V4 one to avoid too much performance penalties.

Can you please send me an e-mail at moi@moi3d.com and I will prepare a different kind of v4 trial for you with no WinLicense wrapper but instead with saving disabled. If that behaves better then it would confirm that as the area that I should focus on.

The full release version does not have the WinLicense wrapper on it.

Thanks,
- Michael
