Problem with y-joint pipes

i tried to take pictures of it, but couldn't get a good angle. but basically it looks like three circles coming to the same point. so i think it would always be tangent in that case. but viewing it in cad, at various angles, it looks messed up. you can only see it's tangent from a side view. as soon as you rotate off a little, it looks like the fillets are rising up to a point. it was pretty challenging to make. it made me wonder if there is an n-gon patch in mecway. i tried to do something a little more like what i was thinking, but couldn't patch something that complex.

so with that pipe model. if you put a cylinder through the center and cut out a circle. then fillet everything. then try to patch the holes. that's what i was thinking was going to be needed. fortunately, it wasn't that complicated. just the fillets seem to be ok.

yes it's very curious that is very hard to give a tickness to this simple surface! :)
