Unit system resets with every startup and separate sidepanels script question

Hi Chris, for the units it's intentional that the setting under Options > General > Unit system sets the unit system for the current model and does not affect the default for when you initially start a new file. But next to that is a "Unit options" button, and if you push that then on the dialog that pops up there is an option there for setting the default unit system:





For the Transform palette being collapsed, try unmaximizing the window and stretch out the unmaximized window size to be large, then you can remaximize it. Does that make any difference? I think if your unmaximized window size is not big enough to hold the expanded palettes that could result in some of them being collapsed at startup.

Ok you were right...8,93 UI size is the cutoff when you want to display both on startup. Makes it kinda small on a 2k screen but that works :)

And a different question...when I have a feature request or improvement idea would it be easier to write you an email or just make a post here?
