Have you read this ? French on the Left - English on the Right
https://moiscript.weebly.com/biblio-elephant.html

Nuts and bolts are more a command by Max Smirnov ? (and has nothing to do with the node editor )

Hi wisty,

For Windows 10,
An example %appdata% path is: C:> Users> (wisty's user name)> AppData> Roaming> Moi
which should already exist on your computer.
My subdirectories in this "Moi" folder include the following:

commands // Extra MoI commands, like _Angle, NOT the standard MoI commands. I like them here, but they could
// be in c:\ProgramFiles MoI 4.9 beta Oct-27-2020\ commands folder with the regular MoI commands.
customui // Max's customUI (Not relevant to nodeeditor)
objects // Geometry saved with customUI Obj Library
snapshots // customUI screenshots (Maybe this should be elsewhere.)
startup // some customUI .js files, plus Michaels SeparateSidePanePalettes (v1 or v2)
moi.ini // for MoI.
moiBAK // a backup copy, just in case.
MoiColors2019, Medieval, RGB... // Several simple MoI .3dm files with desired color styles.
>>>>>>>>

The subdirectory needed:

nodeeditor // Create this folder.

Contents of nodeeditor folder:

1. core // subdirectory
2. macros // subdirectory
3. nodes // subdirectory
4. index // The html file.

(I recently added another subdirectory which should probably be located elsewhere:)
5. programs //subdirectory for saving .nod programs.

Placing the above 1--- 4 subdirectories below nodeeditor should do the trick.

In addition, under subdirectory nodes/ extensions/ can be added a Documentation subdirectory,
which can contain subfolders EN and FR (English and French) , which can contain the few documentation html files for some extension node programs.

- Brian

(\>>>V4 Beta<<<
Shortcut Key script, for Light Scheme of nodeeditor:

moi.ui.createDialog( 'moi://appdata/nodeeditor/index.html?scheme=Light', 'resizeable,defaultWidth:680,defaultHeight:420', moi.ui.mainWindow );

(I mostly use the light scheme.)

There are 3 schemes. Standard very dark, light, and another from James, which I've lost.

Yes, See Pilou site...

Thanks Brian. Exactly the instructions needed. If they exist elsewhere on the forum, I'm sorry I missed them.

Hi wisty,

Just like Pilou and Brian mentioned. Here is a screenshot of the Win10 directory of the location for the Node Editor if this helps with other persons setting up the Node Editor.

Thanks Frenchy, I will bookmark and peruse the Elephant site there look to be lots of useful tools there.

Max's command only creates hex headed bolts, and I need cap head and countersunk bolts. Barry M (http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=5451.74) has NOD files that do what I want. Hence the need for the node editor. Now I just have to get it working.

Edit - Thanks to all - now working fine.

Yes, very useful.

What I wanted to model was a long, LH thread leadscrew. I made a long (300mm) Cap Head screw. Cut the head off and mirrored the resulting threaded rod. Although its a set of joined surfaces rather than a solid it meets my immediate needs.

Thanks again Barry.
