Full Version: How to unhide all commands

Hi all,

my name is Marco, I'm from Italy.
I heard abot MOI some year ago but I've never gave it a try... yesterday I've downloaded it and I've used a few minutes: it's great! It seems Rhino 3d and I saw that the developer is the same of Rhino so, it's ok.
My question is:"Is it possible to unhide all the commands of MOI, without have to remember them each one? When I need to do something and I can see the command I can use it easier... the buttons in sight are ok for 60% of the modeling operations, but not for all"

I use rhino, but moi seems to be more intuitive having the same modeling power.

Thanks a lot
Marco

Hi Marco, do you mean you want to separate the tool palettes on the side pane so that there is only one tab for each palette?

For MoI version 4 you can do this by installing a startup script as descrbed here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=9439.3

For MoI v3 it is possible but it's more involved, you need to edit the UI, there is some information on how to do that here:

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply. As usual I've to be more clear...
I would like to have all the commands on the ui so I can see the button without have to put it using the keyboard.
Because I saw that the commands list is nearly the same of rhino, there are tons of command that I don't know.

Thanks a lot
Marco

Hi Marco, there are a few commands that do not have any UI set up for them. There isn't a way to show those in the UI right now because the UI has not been developed, like the location of the button and the image for it etc... has not been done yet.

There is a full list of command names in the help file here for setting up shortcut keys:
http://moi3d.com/3.0/docs/moi_command_reference11.htm#shortcutkeys

The ones that do not have a UI button set up for them yet are listed here:
http://moi3d.com/3.0/docs/moi_command_reference10.htm#Additional%20commands

Can you give an example of one in the help file that you are referring to?

Hi Michael,

I'm digging into it and, actually I can find several command in the toolbar.
Rebuild is missing, but it's "rebuild" :-)
I've to open my eyes, sorry!
I'm so astonished by the software that it make me blind ;-)
Very powerful.

Thanks
