Hi Wayne and all,

thanks so much for your node, it is really cool!

Here is a small project I am currently working on:

The Go Gopher* Mascot from Google's programming language Go.
And the Image was taking from the Google folder on GitHub and
then redrawn with MoI, brought into the free ArtForm 4 to create
a relief and depth map from it. The depth map then was taken into
your node. Finally trimmed and scaled in MoI.

*Creator of the Go Gopher is Artist Renée French.

This is currently my progress:

gopher-NURBS

Thank you Michael! It was a lot of fun to do this, because of MoI's easy of use and precision,
when it comes to modeling! I will also, at a later date, 3D print this little guy.

I am also very thankful that Renée`s Go Gopher has a Creative Commons License, otherwise
I had not done this model.

Best regards
Stefan

Pilou,

It was not that difficult. The code was already proven out by Max. All that was needed was to plugin the node variables along with a few MOI commands to avoid a nesting shell when subdividing an existing object. Other than that, it was easy... (Not really. I had trouble with it... :)

Hello everyone.

But...I was wondering...Has anyone heard from Max Smirnov?

Is he alive?
