Longtime lurker here, and just thought I would just share a little technique I developed utilizing MoI , Illustrator and After Effects.
The basic technique is exporting your 3D object vector lines into Illustrator (for clean-up and prepping for After Effects.)
Bring the Illustrator file into AE and convert the vector layers with the automatic 'create shapes from vector' and then use the Trim-Path tool for animation.
Very simple and quick, and opens up all sorts of possibilities.
