Hi folks. I need to modify some models I've already created to add a 2 degree angle to all vertical faces.
Is there a simple or straightforward method to do so? I don't want to recreate all of the geometry, as there are a number of other models that need the same treatment.
Thanks!
Chris
So... The blue line would remain the same, while the red line would expand to give a 2 degree slope. Make sense? This would need to happen on all vertical faces.

Hi Chris, sorry but no I don't know of any simple or straightforward way to automatically do that in MoI.
I'm not really sure how you would go about doing that, I wonder if maybe a CAM oriented program might have something to help.

Thanks Michael. I didn't think so, but it never hurts to ask. I'm no expert after all.
Thanks
Chris

Hello Pilou,
maybe you can check DesignSpark also.
I use SpaceClaim and there it is possible.

Ah yes the fabulous Design Spark Mechanical( the SpaceClaim light)
makes that! ;)

Blue face is the Plan of rotation, here with 2 edges selected

In Moi you can make an Extrude with Tappered angle!
Seems curioussly Tappered function works only on a Face(s) and not on just edges lines alone ???
With other extrude yes (Normal Extrude, To Point, Path )

Extrude tapered works on curves as long as they form a closed planar shape.
If you have just one single line for example, that won't work.

Thx for the explanation of this little mystery for me! :)
