Are or will there be new tools in version 4?

Hi Mike, I do expect to have some. But the major thing v4 is focused on is transitioning to 64-bit and a Mac native build.

Hi Michael,

On several occasions you have mentioned that some form of dimension tool might make it into the V4 release. Is this still in play?

Hi Dan, yes I still intend to work on dimensioning in v4. It will probably be at a fairly rudimentary level though.

Hi Michael,

Is instancing still in the plans for V4?

Hi Chipp, I'm sorry but no I'm going to have to push instancing to a future release, it won't make it in for v4. It's just taken too long for the dust to settle down from the big rewrite to get 64-bit and the Mac native build.

Sorry to jump on the thread, but is there a more up to date ETA for V4? I'm considering buying a license but since V4 is apparently coming in the next few months I'd rather avoid having to upgrade from V3 only after a short time.

Thanks!

Hi mrninja13, I don't have a fixed release date yet other than that I expect the final version to be done before the end of this year.
