Something change give some inconvenience until it gets used to it.

Hi sandykoufax,

re:
> Because that it was default workflow for a long time.

Certainly, and that's why I'll definitely set it up so you can do a one time configuration step and then return to the old behavior after that.

But whether it should be the default or not depends a lot on how much inconvenience is involved in normal usage, like is it once a day, once and hour, once a minute, etc... ?

Hello Michael!

@You : "...Update viewport right click - Don't push Cancel buttons with a viewport right click, it's too easy to accidentally cancel a long file import or things like that..."

This is OK for me!
Thanks.

Hi Michael,
I have adjusted the grip frames size in the Moi.ini file and much better visibility.
Many thanks

I increased EditFrameGripPixelSize to 32. Much easier to find the frame handles on my widescreen monitor - Thanks!

Hi Marco,

re: MF2018.STEP file that gets stuck loading at 36% - I've got that fixed up now for the next v4 beta. There was a Solids++ function that could be slow to process certain kinds of trim boundaries. I've rewritten it with an improved version that does not get bogged down anymore.

Thanks for reporting the bug and sending the file for me to test with!

Great loading speedup Michael. Massive speed benefits on my DualXeons also.
I got 3x,4x, and even 5x on some STEP models.

Kudos

Sounds fantastic Lewis, thanks for testing it!

@pafurijaz - yes that Raspberry Pi board that you wrote about previously here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=8936.27
should be working ok now.

I believe it's just info for the moment of display's speed between each use of function ! ;)

Hi phlatt5th,

That's the number of milliseconds it took to draw the last viewport screen image.

It's used to compare the results of performance work to get a numeric measure of whether things are faster or slower instead of just going by feel.

It won't be on for too much longer, just until some last display performance work in v4 is done.

16Mb STEP file loaded into 3.0 took ~15 minutes to load. Same file in 4.0 beta took ~1.5 minutes. STEP file import, edit and conversion makes up the bulk of my work with MoI, so this is a really welcomed improvement!
