Full Version: OT - bas reliefs from 3D models

Hi all,

i finally added some more pictures and comparison pictures to a Blender technique
and finally decided to release my quick technique.

P.S. My technique may not give good results with hard surface models,
due to reasons unknown to me.

The next step would be to combine this technique with
photometric stereo images taken from family members,
friends or co-workers... ;-)

But with blender I get nice result without any other software..
Below a first test with z-depth shader, there are a node to generate a good normal map useful for your method.

Hi,

cool, but i no longer use Blender. Maybe i have to take a look at Blender again.

The area above the rear wheel looks to me distorted, or is the model also
at that place distorted?
