Hi Finema,

Yeah I have not heard of any issues with AMD cards, only new nVidia ones seem to have this problem. But I believe the tune-ups to the next v4 beta will solve those.

When will the next beta come?
Will it have something new?

Hi Rudl, hope to have it out pretty soon. I'm not sure exactly when maybe the end of this week. The focus is still on bug fixes to get it to the same stability level as V3.

Hi Michael,

I need to visit your site more often...I hadn't realized that there was a V4 beta out in the wild! Great news!
I downloaded it, and will contribute whatever I can.
I apologize if I'm just missing something obvious, but is there a master list of the newest or key changes? I'm guessing 64-bit is the most important new change, right? Whether it's that, or in conjunction with other new code, it sure is noticeably faster than V3. I just did a side-by-side test with a current piece of CAD from a client, and it's a night and day difference! Kudos!

Cheers!

Hi sneather, there's a collected list of v4 release notes here: http://moi3d.com/wiki/V4Beta .

Yeah the biggest changes are that it's now 64-bit and on the Mac it's a native Mac build.

I'm glad that the speed has improved for you from V3! I am planning on some other performance related tune ups as well.

Hi, i did a quick search and didn't find any report on this bug. Every time I try to activate a Style filter, MoI closes. Objects and Types filter just fine. After it closed a lot of little annoying bugs started to appear. Im on OSX 10.9.5.

Hi ed, thanks for reporting this bug. I think it's the same one from here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=8872.1

When I investigated it, it appeared to be caused by a compiler bug but it will be fixed in the next upcoming beta which I hope to release in not too long.

Hi Michael,

Is there a chance you could add progress bar for loading/saving files ?

I often open 50, 100, 500 MB *.STP files and loading takes long time like from 30 seconds to 4-5 minutes sometime but there is no indication that MOI is doing anything, it's just freezed while loading..

Thanks

Hi Lewis,

re:

That's something that I want to take a look at doing for v4.
