This is probably very simple, but something i haven't been able to figure out.
If i create a curve with control points, and then want to mirror it across to the other axis, the center join points (red in the image) remain hard edges. Is there any way to convert those points to control points so the tangent is soft at those points? The only way i've been able to do it is to fillet those points but that creates 3 control points for each.
Thanks

Ps sorry i mean mirror and join the two curves

Hi rich, the easiest thing to do is to delete the 2 points, then if you want a new smooth point at that spot use Edit > Add pt to add it in.
There isn't any way currently to just modify existing points from a corner point to a smooth point but I want to add that.

Thanks for the quick reply Michael.
Oh great, thanks for that. Yeah would be great to have the option to convert a polyline path to a control point curve and vice versa.
Cheers

Hello Rich,
if you have the precondition that the first and second and the last two control Points builds perpendicular lines to the mirror axis, you will have a smooth Connection.
For untrimmed curves they build the Tangent.
Have a nice day
