Hello everyone, I want to build my own calorimeter. For those who don't know what that is, it's a thermal analysis equipment. I want to build my own calorimeter because they tend to be quite expensive and I can't afford that. It's actually more of a hobby to be honest. I've come across 3D modelling which could help me put this thing together. It should look something like this one: https://www.linseis.com/en/our-products/differential-scanning-calorimetry/dsc-pt1000/ I really only need to print a few parts and I was wondering how to do that?

Hi moily, to print a few parts you could use Shapeways: https://www.shapeways.com/ . The way you'd do that is build a solid model in MoI, then export it to .stl format, that's the format used by 3D printers. You'd import the .stl file into Shapeways' web site and they can then do a 3D print of it and mail it to you.

Hi moily,
i can imagine thats not a easy task to build a hightec instrument like this...
But MoI is easy to learn and offers also nice tools for accurate designing.
For 3d-printing you can easily export the parts to an stl format which you can use in your favorite slicer software to print it out
