Hi,

the easiest method imo would be to import the shape in Photoshop, make it white in there with a black background and apply several times a gaussian blurr with setting from big to small. After that bring the image into ZSurf (free) and export it as .iges file. In MoI (depending on your Photoshop experiments) you would now have a nicely rounded shape. The last step would be then to trim the shape from the bottom square, with a line.

Hope this helps.

I'm thinking: Separate the different parts. Sweep each with a circle.
Use Blend Cap for ends. Use N-Sided for intersections, and/or Blend.
Remove top half with a plane.

Hi,

just tested it myself (again after a long time)... You need only to apply the gaussian blurr once. If you do it multiple times you get hill like results in some areas, while once only applied it's fine.

Hi albehany,

i run ZSurf via Wine or WinOnX under OS X, since there is no Mac version available.

The list is outdated. I tried both Virtual PC for Mac & Crossover Mac but none of them is working from my side. However, found Parallels Desktop working fine.

Hi Guys,

Or you've got Vector Magic Free

https://vectormagic.com/

Automatically convert JPG, PNG, BMP, and GIF bitmap images to true SVG, EPS, and PDF vector images online by simply uploading them. Real full-color tracing, no software to install and results are ready right away!

Hope it helps ;)
