Max - your latest CustomUI + MoI v4 beta Feb-09-2018 is now even easier to install and maintain - THANK YOU :)
One reminder suggestion/tip for CustomUI newbies - instead of:
>After installation remove all unneeded .js scripts from startup directory
I still prefer Max's initial suggestion from his first post (edit by me in square brackets for latest Win location):
>Go to the [Win: %APPDATA%\Moi\startup ] directory and select modules which you want to use. To disable module, just put "-" symbol at the beginning of a filename (most of modules are already disabled).

I put a subdirectory in the Startup directory, to save a copy of the removed file(s). (Saved a copy of Max's sidepane mod, in case I want to use it in the future.)

Hi Max;
I Installed CustomUI per your instruction for MoI v4 beta Feb-09-2018, window version. I am getting error message when MOI starts. the *.js files in startup folder do not load.
Any idea what is the problem?
Thanks,

CustomUI Error.png
From: Michael Gibson
Hi Sharif, the error looks like the CustomUI script code isn't able to access an element that it's expecting to find in the CommandBar.htm file.
Did you possibly copy an older version of CommandBar.htm into your current installation?

Hi Michael;
I have customized the commandbar.htm. It works with CustomUIBeta1, But it doesn't work with CustomUIBeta2. I have attached the commandbar.htm file that I am using.
Thanks;

CommandBar.htm

Hi Sharif - your customized version is based off of an old version of CommandBar.htm . You'll need to reapply your customization on the newer CommandBar.htm that's included with the Feb-9-2018 release in order for the latest CustomUI to work properly. If you just copy over your older file you end up losing changes in the regular install.

Hi Michael;
I modified the new commandbar.htm and everything works now.

Windows or Mac?
From: Michael Gibson
Hi Neil, re: saving to objects library not working - it's probably a permissions issue. Please see if this helps:

Hi glmr,
To set the focus on the desired view, first click on a shape in the view, then use snapshot.

@aivo (ANYOTO) 它不与版本Moi3d v3工作. 您必须安装Moi V4 Beta版本.

@Max Smirnov If you don't mind what file and value has to be changed to get a different thumbnail background of the asset icon other than default white? As I am using dark UI, my obj library looks quite odd now. I would like to have change it with your help.
Too bad I will now have to reprocess everything :D Maybe that could be an option if that's even possible.
Thanks a lot!

Replace the png Base64 image in 70 ObjLibrary.js, under startup folder, (Moi4 beta).
https://varvy.com/pagespeed/base64-images.html
https://jsfiddle.net/casiano/xadvz/
As a test, I replaced the icon with the red bus with blue windows, by copying the base64 code, in Moi4 beta. :-)
(The gif code seemed to work ok as png...)

Hi Agonyii,
To change a thumbnail background color you need to open ObjLibrary.menu.htm and edit this line:
code:
moi.view.viewportBackgroundColor = 0xFFFFFF;
Set any color you want.
From: agonyii
@Max
I've also changed border value to '0' from (border: 2px solid;) to get rid of the border around preview.
.preview{ width:75px; height:75px; overflow:hidden; position:relative; border: 2px solid; border-color:#fff; }
I hope this could be valuable information for someone else as well.
Also just crossed my mind, maybe transparency support would the best solution if that's by any means possible?
Thanks so much Max! Much appreciated!
From: Michael Gibson
Hi agonyii, sorry currently there isn't any way to have transparency for the viewport background when doing a view snapshot.
