Save in native format MyObject.rsdoc inside DSM
- rename it in MyObject.zip
- unzip and search inside the Unzipped folder a file .sab inside folder SpaceClaim / Geometry
so something like part1bodies.sab
Say you put part1bodies.sab in a folder Pifou on your Desktop
Just type the 2 following lines (in a single "command line" ) replace of course Pilou by your user name! :)
( Key Logo Windows + R)
"Step" files from Moi are good for direct importation!
(but the trick of the Sphere "unlocked" always indispensable for modify it inside DSM - 2 seconds! ;)
- Direct export save as STL, OBJ, SKP works fine!
- Only nurbs format Sab / Sat should have the trick of the "command line" shown above! (5 seconds) :)
PDF 3D...seems always not visible but maybe i forgotten something again! :)
(and i am not sure to have always a pdf 3D viewer! If you have a Pdf 3D on line...
(or use the V 1.0 collector : http://designspark5.rssing.com/chan-33180489/all_p3.html
This isn't working for me. I converted the sab file successfully ( as far as i know) but then it doesnt open in moi. Can you take a look at this sab and sat file and make sure it works for me? i would appreciate it a lot! :)
Hi JerryBerry, your Converted.sat file comes in ok with the current MoI v4 beta, you can get it from http://moi3d.com/beta.htm .
One thing that's a little odd is the units are in meters so the object is of a small numeric size. You may be able to get it openable in MoI v3 if you can get the .sat file to be generated using an older version of the .sat format like version 8 or something like that. That will then make the .sat file use more general NURBS surfaces and curves for things rather than newer specialized entity types.
