My first reaction was, "It's free for now - How long before they charge for it?"
It's likely to remain free because it's main purpose is to sell electronic components via their 3D component library. Nice marketing strategy!
I especially like the option to add dimensioning to the drawing. I just went through a personal project using MoI where I machined several parts needed to modify a milling machine. MoI allowed me to visualize how everything fits together and it's certainly easier to test design concepts in 3D. I just had to manually add dimensions to my prints (I know this is on the list for MoI enhancements).
If I were doing this type of work for a living I'd use an expensive program, but for personal work MoI is my all-purpose multi-function tool.
Hey Frenchy,
Just include the edge that belongs to the fillet in the selection. So, Select face, then Ctrl click the edge that you want to go along with the extrude.
A little trick for the "Only read file STEP imported"!
Import the STEP file created in Moi ;)
Add a solid to the drawing (cube, cylinder, sphere, whatever).
Right click on the top-most name of the component tree (the name of the whole thing).
Unlock. Everything in the tree is now unlocked.
