Full Version: Another finished project

Hi all,

Just thought I'd post one of my most recent projects. It was completely modelled in Moi. The new scene management options in Moi v2 were essential to completing this project. With over 75 Styles for the various parts of the train, I was still able to keep the scene organized and easily exportable to another 3d program for rendering. Although the train and parts are not a 100% accurate representation of the original, they were originally planned to be much more simple in modelling. Due to MOIs simple, fast and effective workflow, I was able to reach a much higher level of detail than expected. The client was very pleased.

Wow, that's quite a big project - and done very well!

May I ask what program you used to render the train (and the bottle? :P)

I'm in need of a renderer for my MoI models!

I love the detailing and the materials on the hardware - especially how you used transparency and cutaways to reveal the components etc.

Wonderful work!

Fabulous! I really like the technical drawing cutaway style!

I am glad that the new v2 features helped out a lot - that was a major goal for Styles to make it easier to keep things organized when exporting to a renderer.

Hi Tree

looks like Siemens-Syntegra, the new-generation powered bogie for rail vehicles with axles directly driven by synchronous motors.

Great work.

Hi Apophis,

Actually it's just some random form I made for the train shape. Although many trains are similar in certain areas. The parts are not meant to replicate any exact company but are rather loosely based off a mixture. There are many more camera shots I had to make of various other parts and areas of the train that one can't see in these, but that would probably be too many to upload on the forums.
