Full Version: Wireframe generator?

From: Matadem

Good day...I am looking for some thing like a wire frame maker and or generator is there something like this could be done Moi?

The plan is that if I have a shape drawn in blender ...import in Moi to get the wire frames so these can be made in metal cut and welded.

Is there something like this?

Or can this be done with something like the like the iso?

Attached is a wireframe model...but the plan is to simplify the wire frame.

Thank you!

Hi Matadem, you can generate wire sections of a model in MoI like you show by drawing in lines and then using the Construct > Curve > Project command to project the lines onto the object:

Organic form created in blender - retopology into QUAD MESH then import SUBD with workflow as demonstrated by Michael, works great on just about any shape. Rebuild curves after running sections to get simpler cleaner curve info.

Got it!
Moi again fast and efficient :D

to Alexpolo ...where can I download the model that you pictured if available?

I am also looking for something like this https://www.instructables.com/Laser-Cut-3D-Models/

but 123d make is no longer available...I think.
And I think Rhino has something similar.

Can Moi do this? or any other small app?

Thank you!

You can get That type of output from 3d printer software.

Just slices up your model and can spit out the different profile levels.

A bunch of free ones that are quality. Someone here can probably recommend one.

Hi Matadem,

I think that function from 123D is now a slicer app in Fusion360 so you might look there.

Also some other possibilities in this reddit thread:

You might look at the Blender add-in that is mentioned there.

Normally you have a powerful slicer V6 free by TIG for SketchUp

In free you must first find the free SketchUp Make 2017 somewhere
it's the last free version of SketchUp with you can use the Plugins!
