Full Version: Filleting the whole corner?

I know, fillets are a finicky thing, but this seems so simple that maybe it can be fixed?

Create a rectangle with known dimensions, for example 10 x 10 mm. Try to fillet one corner completely, i.e. set the fillet radius to 10. -> Calculation failed

Choose constant distance as the type of fillet you want

But with that said, this expectation will run into various issues in other situations

10 x 10 is not a rectangle, it's a square! :)

Hm, I don't understand what Const Dist does, but when I enter 10 for my 10x10 "rectangle" :) it certainly does not fillet the whole corner.

My Bad. I wasnt paying close enough attention.

So workaround would have to suffice.

you can extrude your rectangle out a bit and solid fillet it, then extract the curves you need

Or use the arc center point tool to draw in the full arc.

Just a workaround. I'll listen for Michael to discuss any details

Sorry about the original mislead.

I had already made the first part, so I included it here to keep the warts!!!

Squares are rectangles, but only some rectangles are squares.

This is fixed for the next v5 beta.

Thanks,
