Very nice. Was it hard to do it? Have you used some additional plugin for that or only pure Blender?

I like it much but it looks very complicated to build from scratch, especially in French :)

I look for similar solution for making mechanical animations/simulations like that but I would like to see it more straightforward for "sunday" mechanical animator where buttons help you choose presets and leads you to the goal without braining too much ;).

I like the suggestion by mdesign above to use Folders as a grouping mechanism. Seems like it would fit in well with the existing UI.

For example, I'm currently modeling a car in MoI. Each wheel has 56 spokes, a rim, a hub, a cap and a tire. Sixty objects, currently assigned to 5 colors.

Would be great to group those into a Folder called Wheel. Ability to Lock/Unlock & Hide/Unhide as usual. If un-locked, any Alignment Tool applied to the Folder would automatically default to "Move as Group".

If we had sub-folders, each of the 4 wheel folders could be in a folder called Wheels.

And as mdesign suggested, folders would be great for consolidating and holding extrusion curves, cutting objects, trimming curves, etc.

As we have SKP format export inside Moi...
Last version of a powerful free Version of SKetchUp is the 2017 Make!

You have a cool animation Plugin inside Sketchup! ;)
Animator by a French guy Fredo6 ;)
Some rustic UI but very efficient!

@Pilou >You have yet the solution to make a little text file list with any function
then Copy Past the function that you want after the Press TAB! ;)

Rustic but efficient :)
And no problem of memory headache :)

Touche(s) de raccourci :shortcut keys ???! hotkeys, Short!,
The goal is short and quick.

Yes shortcuts win some times but put all functions in a shortcut is not valid for old brain! ;)
Over 6 shortcuts is a limite for me! :)

In Rhino forum one guy posted script for mating: https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/how-to-align-two-objects/121132/32 You can see also how it works in video here.
It`s quite short and simple script. Your method is wonderful I`m only sharing it because it`s in same topic as we talked previously. Maybe it will help somebody to write similar script for MoI (if it will be needed of course).

Cheers!!!

What is line-line? Have you meant line-line drag and drop constraint?

Yes with only 2 Points as Start and 2 Points as Target + Helpers lines you can make anything you want with the fabulous Line-Line !
( + some parameters if you want Uniform, Stretch, None) , Copy or not )

Good day.

1.I would like to see the ability to apply a materials to an object like its done in sketchup...not rendered as in keyshot etc but as a sketch would be more than usefull to me.
2.Parametric style editing if possible...sometime if I need to change something that is already done it is not easy.

Tnx.

How about a setting for how many to keep and listing them in a drop list?

Shortcut Keys; Options Tab
1. Import / Export
2. Search
3. Upon "Add", warn if key-combo is already in use.

Thanks Mike for all that you do!

I would love to see the introduction of a simple clipping plane (section plane) for sectional analysis of a model, would be hugely beneficial as it is in SketchUp
