Hi! From Michaels post from 2Nov
I get that further 2d functionality is at least
something...that could be possible in the future..
Well my question is can I draw 2d in Moi 3d
send the files to Freecad sketcher
add constraints..and reexport to Moi 3d?
That would be great!
I get the file into Freecad with iges
but its not accessible...in Sketcher..
I do use Freecad Sketcher to Moi 3d though that works quite well via iges! I even make parts with a certain size in Freecad as kitbashs for Moi3d..
Thanks in advance!

Hi rayman,
You could try with the dxf format it should work both way.
Cheers

I can get it into moi that way..I can get it back
to Freecad but not into Sketcher of freecad
and that is what I need for constraints...!

Hi rayman, looking here:
https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?t=29704 it sounds like once you have imported your DXF into FreeCAD you then need to select the curves and then go to the "Draft" workbench (not Sketcher yet), then from there something like "Draft to sketch" or "Make sketch".
You may need to ask on the Freecad forum:

Thank you Michael!
Yes posted there already!
No reply and approval of post there as of yet and didnt find it through search function!
Very helpfull and valuable information!
I will try it out and try to make a short tut out of it!
I like using Freecad next to Moi3d very much!
Both are very complimentory in how and what
they do! Together very powerfull! Parametric workflow included and streamlines simplicity of Moi 3d!

This is from google. Just did it in case your results were constrained somehow... selecting objects in the tree (#4) is a key point...
1. Open Draft Workbench: View->Workbench->Draft.
2. Create a new file.
3.Import your DXF: File->Import.
4. Select all necesarry objects in Tree view (you can use Ctrl or Shift to select many objects)
5. Use a tool Draft->Draft to Sketch.
you have a new, automatically constrained sketch (see Tree view)
