where must be this output.txt ?
Not more easy for me to send you the commands folder by mail? (810 Kb )
because my Windows CMD says dir is not found! :)
From: Michael Gibson
Hi Pilou, it can be anywhere, that command line will write it to the current directory of the command line.
Maybe try these 2 commands on the system command prompt window:
cd %appdata%\Moi\commands
dir >output.txt
The first line will set the current directory to the Moi appdata commands folder, and the second one will do the "dir" directory listing command and send its output to a text file output.txt which will be created in that same folder.
If you can then send me that then I may be able to recreate the problem over here and fix it up.

Hi Pilou,
re:

That would work fine too.

Don't find CD! :)
I send you the Zip of my Folder commands from the Appdata

Hi Pilou, I think Michael's saying use windows command prompt to find the "hidden" %apps% moi directory and put the output text file there. If this is just a question of "pasting" a file once...
might navigate manually through windows explorer but you need turn "hidden files" off 1st...
Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.
Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

Hi Pilou, are you maybe putting in dir or cd into the Windows "Run" dialog? That's not the same as an actual command prompt.
To get a command prompt you would need to first run cmd.exe .
Then inside the command shell that's where you put in dir or cd. But sending the .zip file is fine.

Yes I suppose that is the SHortCut for my Windows 10 (Logo Windows + R) for have the command system

So I send you by mail the commands folder with pain again because Gmail don't want my zip ! :D
I have found an other way! :)

Hi Pilou, it seems to be a bug in the menu code. Try updating to the attached versions, these are in %appdata%\moi\customui .

Works fine now! Bravo!

Hi Michael,
Thanks for continuously developing Moi!
Perhaps I've found a bug, If I use this script - script: /* Toggle browser pane on/off */ moi.ui.showBrowserPane = !moi.ui.showBrowserPane; or this- script: /* Toggle between opposite and inline browser modes */ moi.ui.browserPosition = (moi.ui.browserPosition == 'Inside' ? 'Opposite' : 'Inside');
and press the hotkey several times Moi freezes completely.

Hi Michael and thanks for this new update.
I've seen that there are a bunch of things that didn't work properly with the update you posted, something that you already fixed (if I'm not wrong)
Could you please upload a NEW fixed update with all the corrected stuff already packed into?
In this way is much more easy for us to pick the right version without the need to scroll all the posts to find errors and fixes.
Thanks a lot.

Are you talking about Scripts.menu.htm and ScriptsFull.menu.htm above?
I don't know about any bunch of things wrong with them, Pilou posted about a problem with the columns here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=9942.26 and the files I posted are just for solving that problem.

Sorry no I can't - it's part of Max's CustomUI package. The main version for it is on his file archive page which belongs to him, I don't have any way to change it.

It definitely sounds like a bug, thanks for reporting it.
What operating system are you running on?

Yes

Hi Michael,
It seems I can no longer export to pdf and have a usable template with this latest beta. When I choose Center Object it appears truncated in the upper RH corner of the page. It may be user error but I have had great success with this feature in the past.
I've included the file and pdf for you when you get a chance to look at it.
In case anyone wood carves and is curious the end project looks like so:
Best regards,
David W.

The 3dm Exports to PDF fine for me, with Top View, and Fit to page.
Do not have a Center Object option...
- Brian
From: Michael Gibson
Hi Brian, the "Center on page" option will appear if you set Scale: "Preserve units" instead of Scale: "Fit to page".
@David - I think I broke that with some recent fiddling with PDF output as part of the work for exporting dimensions to PDF. Can you please send me an e-mail (
moi@moi3d.com) and I'll send you a test build for a fix?
Thanks, - Michael
From: Mik (MIKULAS)
Hi Michael,
only for information.
I've registrated same issue as David reported with exporting geometry (without dimensions layer) to PDF - Preserve unit - center on page .
"Fit to page" option seems to work fine.
I've registrated some issues with AI export, Affinity designer doesn't see geometry at all, but as you mentioned PDF/AI export are still in progress.
Mik
From: Michael Gibson
Hi Mik, so Affinity Designer not seeing the AI export is a limitation in Affinity. It doesn't support the older version 8 AI files that MoI writes out.
Affinity Designer only supports the newer AI type file and only then if it was saved out from Adobe Illustrator with the "Create Compatible PDF File" option enabled in Adobe Illustrator's export options. When that is enabled, then the new AI file type is actually a PDF file and then Affinity just reads the PDF content from it.
MoI only exports the old AI version 8 file type because that's the only one that has been documented by Adobe. They have not documented how Adobe Illustrator stores illustrator-specific information in private data inside the PDF structure for the newer AI file type.
So since Affinity does not support the older AI v8 format and MoI only exports AI v8 format, that means that you need to use PDF format for transfer from MoI into Affinity Designer and not AI format.
For the "Preserve units" + "Center on page" bug, if you can send me an e-mail at
moi@moi3d.com, I'll send you a test version to test a fix for that.
Thanks,
- Michael
