If for the normal Math Node I can understand where put some formulas, I am more perplex for the MathPts Node! :)
I need some examples for unblock the situation! :)
From: bemfarmer
Hi Pilou,
The X, Y, and Z can be functions of u and v.
So X = sin(u) would be one example. Y = cos(v), Z = sqrt(something)...
Or more complex equations.
Check out the Macro's, which are likely from James:
mobius, offsetGrid, sineSurf, waveSurf, quadSpheres.
It would be nice to find a really cool example.
Maybe a curvy surface in 3d...

Here is an enneper example by James, posted by Pilou :-)

James link to the nod file EnneperScaling.nod:

Note the complex formulas.
I think this one is an excellent example.
A surface in formed in 3d space.

The iso linecurves can be viewed with the MoI iso command.

Many Thx! Ok All is clear now! :)
Just a little last question : does it possible to increase the size of the Info Pannel? (seems not)
because biggest formulas are truncated at the screen!

That concludes the "Native Points" Section! Just rest now the "native Basic section"...the cherry on the cake! :)
And exported when you find a cool 3D model inside this infinity of possibilities! :)

Missing of training :)
Wanted to draw a simple sinusoïd with the Basic / Math (not with the Point / Math)
Not yet found an elegant solution!

Hello Pilou,
You need the second coordinate. Make points and use curve:-)
Have a nice day

@ karsten
Very elegant and the trick was the big conceptual paradigma "Progression Node" that I totally missed!
and Bravo only use the Native Nodes!
and less intimidating than this one!
VIDEO
So I can make the "Math" node now after study in depth for no deviant art! :)

I am perplex about what exactly do Concat ? (add, associate, Union, Merge... ??? )

Forgotten to make ObjToArray Node
but this yet made can make the trick ! :)

Hello Pilou,
concat joins Arrays together. e.g.:
numarray 1: 0;2;4;6
numarray 2; 1;2;3;4
concat result 0;2;4;6;1;2;3;4
:-)
A nice day to all
Karsten
