Hi Brownie, that error comes from using an old v3 beta release (like a cracked version) which is missing some functions that are in the v3 final release version.
So to fix that make sure you're running the release version of v3 and not a cracked version. If you purchased MoI you can get a new download of the full version installer by putting in your license key at
http://moi3d.com/reinstall.htm .

Hi Mike, on the Mac v3 version, the ui and commands folders that are mentioned in the install instructions above will be found under drive_c/moi/ui and drive_c/moi/commands .

Just found it I think: Library|Application Support|Moi
So replace moi.int there and all other files on the drive_c ?
From: Michael Gibson
Hi Mike, the location of your moi.ini file can be shown from inside MoI by going to Options > General > "Edit .ini file" button. That will pop up a dialog that tells you where the moi.ini file is located.
re:

Yes I think so. You should find the directories it mentions above like the ui folder inside drive_c/moi/ui

Hello,
Is there any way to make this works with version v5 or v4. Thanks
From: Michael Gibson
Hi creatorzdeitz,
re:

Probably not without some work to modify it to account for changes in the UI structure between v3 and v4.
In v5 there is a built in dark theme, you can turn it on under Options > General > "UI Theme".

Love the asset library. What a great idea for kitbashing.
From: Nikita3D
Hello guys,
I am new at MoI3D and would love to have an object Library for kitbashing like the last screenshot.
I saw, that the first post has a library from max Smirnov for MoI V3. But I am using 4.0 Trial. Is it possible to use the V3 form Max Smirnov on V4?
If not, when will come the V4.0 from the last screenshot online?
Or are there other ways to install an object library for MoI4.0?
Thank you in advance!
From: Michael Gibson
Hi Nikita, there is an object library plug-in that is part of Max Smirnov's CustomUI mod.
The information on how to install it is here:
http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=6507.268
and I've attached the files here for the v4 version (which also works with v5) since Max's file repository is offline and I have not got the mirror of it set up yet.
The next v5 beta will enable writing thumbnail images to .3dm files and also include shell extensions so the operating system will be able to display thumbnail images in regular system file browsing UI. Once that is in place you will be able to get this object library functionality just with the regular Import or ImportPart commands.

Hi Nikita3D
Max's CustomUI works great for MoI4 and MoI5beta.
Using Burr's method, a second ObjLibrary can be easily created, as well.

Thank you very much Michael and Bemfarmer.
I'll check out tomorrow the post how to install it.

You have here a Kitbash by Chipps Walter
https://moiscript.weebly.com/kitbash.html
Scroll the page, right click on one object's image for download it
you have the 3DM of each object...
So you can make your own library with the Max plugin ;)
