I am currently sitting in the original magic of the entire concept.

In the video at 25.10, for 3 minutes defines the entire thing.

Michael as the creator of sculptura, the actual gold, bypassed in the “lineage”….

“Rhino” is now Autodesk!

MoI3d is now the revolutionary!!!

Michael, true to the vision.

Thank you from the unknown little guy.

Customer for life…….

There are some errors in that story but those are events from 33 years ago so that's normal.

It is indeed a great pity that Michael's name was not explicitly mentioned, so it is appropriate to remind everyone of this, at least here on the forum. that ...

AI Gemini:

Michael Gibson was the original and key developer of the Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) software.

Specifically:

Original Architect: Michael Gibson was hired by Robert McNeel & Associates (McNeel) in November 1992. He began working on a new Computer-Aided Design (CAD) system that utilized the NURBS (Non-uniform rational B-spline) geometric core (AGLib from Applied Geometry).

The Genesis of Rhino: The internal project name was initially AccuModel, but it was Gibson's subsequent, separate project that became known as Rhino (originally a nickname for his previous software, Sculptura 2).

Lead Developer: Gibson was essentially the sole driving force behind the early development phases that led to the creation and commercial release of Rhinoceros 3D Version 1.0. He carried out the vast majority of the programming work for the initial product over several years.

In short, Michael Gibson is widely regarded as the principal architect and father of the Rhino software. After leaving McNeel, he went on to create his own 3D modeling application, MoI (Moment of Inspiration), which shares much of the philosophical and user-interface approach of the early Rhino, but is designed to be simpler and more accessible.

... thanks for that, Michael.
